EU Street Art for Environment: A mural project that reflects the need for a healthy environment in Prishtina

In this one-of-a-kind cultural enhancement project on behalf of the EU, Kosovo citizens were encouraged to consider environment preservation and find joy through art, all while contributing in the creation of a magnificent mural-like street artwork on the staircase of the Arbëria/Dragodan neighborhood in Prishtina. 

This project was conceptualized and implemented on behalf of the Street Art on Environment activity of Europe Day 2021, with a brilliant turnout of creative individuals helping to create something beautiful, all caught on a docu-style short video showcasing the whole process. Steps of Arbëria/Dragodan are a popular area with a lot of foot traffic and fitness aficionados. We jumped at the chance to light up someone's workout or journey to work, school, etc. while sending a message on environment preservation. With this intervention, the talented contributors transformed one of the most popular areas of Prishtina into an artistic treasure. Loads of photos, posts and shares online turned it into an instant sensation on social media.
